All servicing and repairs are organized by Barbel and carried out by our own engineers.

Is it simple to use? Will I need and special training?
The Barbel Quattro is very simple to use with every straightforward instructions included with each machine. Furthermore, Barbel include a training video or CD-Rom, and where required we provide free introduction training.

Is it hard to change the blades?
Changing blades couldn’t be simpler. Place the blade onto the shaft & gently turn anti-clockwise to lock, to remove, just lift the blade off.

Is it cost effective?
Absolutely!! Because the Barbel Quattro gives consistent cuts throughout, there is no waste. In recent trials by a major food chain, the Barbel Quattro gave over 30% increase in yield*. For busy kitchens currently preparing by hand, the increase in productivity will pay for the machine in a matter of weeks.
*Tests carried out in controlled conditions at test kitchen. On average the Barbel Quattro produced over 30% more perfect slices than equivalent preparation by hand when tested on Lemons, Tomatoes and Onion.

Is it easy to clean?
Very easy!! The Barbel Quattro has been designed to be easy to keep clean. The whole of the top section can be removed and taken to the sink to be spray-cleaned. Blades are simple to remove and clean, and the base can simply be wiped down with a damp cloth.

Is it safe? What are it's safety features?
The Barbel Quattro is extremely safe. The machine has a double mechanical/electronic override to ensure that users cannot operate the motor without the blades safely covered. All switches work by magnetic impulse so there are no delicate electronics to worry about.

What 'Cuts' are possible?
In total there are 40 blades to choose from. The ‘Slicing’ cut means the Barbel Quattro is capable of the finest cuts including perfect brunoises and juliennes and even a 0.7mm fine slice.

What makes the Barbel Quattro so different from any other vegetable preparation machines?
The Barbel Quattro has a totally unique ‘slicing’ cut which keeps delicate cell structures intact. The blades are so fine that even soft fruit such as Kiwi can be sliced without bruising. Less bruising means prolonged shelf life, better flavour and finer textures.
